CURRICULUM
The curriculum at Monkton Country Day Care is based on the development of the whole child. We value a curriculum that develops creativity, and readiness skills mastery through multi-sensory experiences.  Our curriculum strength is in its flexibility, variety of approaches and resources, all with the goal of meeting each individual child’s needs.

 

Opportunities to develop readiness skills in pre-reading, STEM, literature, art, music and physical education are integrated into our thematic units. Activities include the following: group time, learning centers, story time, songs and finger plays, art, crafts, games, food preparation, and STEM exploration.

Our curriculum is enhanced with field trips, visits from community helpers, and other special guests such as Wildlife Adventures, Hereford Volunteer Fire Company and Pam the Kindersinger.  We also partner with Dynasty Sports Academy and Kooken Guitar & Piano Studios who bring quality soccer camp and piano lessons, respectively, at an additional fee to our program.
