Lisa Rufo - Director
My name is Lisa Rufo. I have worked at Monkton since February of 1992. Prior to becoming director at MCDC, I was a lead teacher for twenty-one years. I earned my Associates of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education from Villa Julie College. I am credentialed at level 5 in the MSDE Excels program. I live in Pennsylvania with my husband, Jeff and our energetic border collie, Sheldon. My spare time is spent with family, and friends, especially delighting in the time spent with my grandchildren! I enjoy hiking, eating out and photography. "It takes a BIG heart to shape a LITTLE mind".
Amanda Fishpaw - Assistant Director
Hello friends of all ages. My name is Mandy Fishpaw. I have my associate degree in early childhood education and have been involved in the education field for over 20 years. I live with my husband Josh, two dogs, Pepper and Harley, 7 fish and one cat named Dixie Mae. I love to craft, crochet, and draw. I am a creative and crafty person. Drag racing is one of my favorite activities as well as car shows and carnivals. Working with children has always been my passion and I am happy I can enjoy it at MCDC.
Judy Ober - Teacher, Pre-K
I have been working with children for over 40 years. I love watching little people learn new things. I love watching friendships form and watching them learn to work together. My family consists of three children, Shelly, Mandy and Michael. I also have three grandchildren, Jake, Kole and Spencer and two son in laws, Joe and Josh. We have three dogs, Izzy, Tippy and Asher and two cats Brat and Missy. I love working at Monkton Country Daycare and my goal this year is to meet new folks, and make new friendships "big and small"! I look forward to learning and laughing every day!
Megan Stiffler - Teacher, Pre-K
Hi there. My name is Megan Stiffler. I have been working with MCDC for 4 years now. I have 1 brother, Daniel, and 2 sisters, Emma and Rachel. I have 1 cat named Tux and 3 dogs, Lucy Bodie and Millie. I love working with children because their curiosity and joy for the world around them inspires me. It is a joy to help them grow and learn. My goal this year is to help each child become more comfortable and confident while learning in the classroom. I love to read in my free time, and I love to read to the children.
Kayla Muldowney -Teacher, Pre-K/4's
Hello. My name is Ms. Kayla. I have been working at Monkton Country for four years, two of which I was Ms. Judy's aide. I hold my associate's degree in ECE. I have over 9 years' experience working with children. I am interested in yoga, gardening, outdoor activities and painting. I am eager to contribute my passion for education at Monkton Country Daycare and Preschool.
Kim Romero -3's Teacher
Hello everyone. I am very excited to meet all my new friends this year. I live at home with my husband, Alex, my daughter, Giselle, my son, Izael, and our dog Snickers. I have been working with children for 15 years. I love working with children because they are funny, cute, sweet, and a little wild. We are going to have a great year filled with lots of singing, dancing, laughing and learning.
Emma Adams -2's/3's Teacher
Hi everyone, my name is Miss Emma. I have been working at MCDC for 4 years. I was an aide for some other teachers before I got my 90-hour certification. I am now the 2/3's teacher. I enjoy helping the children in the center learn and grow and gain confidence in themselves. They always know how to put a smile on my face. I live at home with my mom, Ms. Chris, my dad and my brother Austin. I have a betta fish named America too.
Ligda Henry - 2's Teacher
My name is Ligda and I have been working with children for eight years. My husband and I have two daughters. I love working with children. The little one's are so active, imaginative, and creative. It makes my own imagination grow. I love to see so many smiles and to celebrate little things every day. I love to help them grow and I hope to be a positive role model in their lives. My goal this year is to create a happy environment where everyone is welcome. I look forward to preparing students for the next year!
Donna Vaccacio - Art/Runner
Hi. My name is Donna Vaccacio. I have been with Monkton Country for many years. I have three adult sons and I also attend church here. I have held positions as a substitute teacher, and a Teacher's Aide. I currently am a substitute and runner for MCDC. I spend my spare time gardening, reading, and visiting my family. I enjoy crafts such as painting, stained glass and mosaics. My dog and I love to walk the bike trail.
Chris Adams - 2's Aide
My name is Christina Adams. I have worked at MCDC since August 2019. I am married with 2 children, Austin and Miss Emma. I have a cat named Roscoe too. I have been working with children for 13 years. I look forward to seeing the laughter and joy the children have when they discover new things. The best part of my job is the hugs. My spare time is spent on the boat crabbing, or fishing. I'm glad to be a part of our school.
Miss Megan R.- 3's Aide
Hello. My name is Miss Megan. I live at home with my mom and dad, my dog Rhapsody, and my 7 ducks. I love working with children because they have so much to learn at such a young age and I get to play an important role in that process. I look forward to learning more about this career and further educating myself with experience.
Miss Lili-Runner
Hola everyone. My name is Miss Lili. I love working with everyone here at Monkton Country Daycare. I look forward to meeting all the new children that come through the doors. I love that they can make me laugh. I would like to go back to school this year.
Miss Lola-Runner
Hi everyone. My name is Miss Lola and I have been at MCDC for 3 and a half years. I live at home with my mom and dad, and my two sisters. I have 3 dogs, Winston, Rosie, and Sophie. I love working with children because they never cease to amaze me and make me laugh. I want to continue my career as an esthetician but I also love being here. I love being able to see the world through a child's eyes, especially during the holiday season. I love to babysit and dog sit if any one is interested.
Miss Macey-Runner
Hello. My name is Macey Peotter. I am a senior in high school. I just started at Monkton Country Daycare and I love it. I live with my mom, dad, brother and twin sister. I have been babysitting for 3 years. I love working with kids because they make me happy and fill my heart with happiness. I love being able to get to know each individual child. My plans in the future are to be a NICU nurse.
Miss Jalixa- Runner
Hi. My name is Jalixa Ramos and I have been working at MCDC here and there when I have off from school. I am a senior this year. I look forward to what the future has in store for me at MCDC.
