I wanted to share some of the things we enjoy / appreciate about our experience at MCDC.
We have two toddler boys, aged 4 and 2, that are enrolled full-time at MCDC. I really appreciate the teachers & administrators who so warmly look after our boys. The communication is excellent; and I enjoy seeing pictures & notes of the kids activities. There is a different theme each week, and tons of crafts/thoughtful activities to support the theme. I feel good knowing that my boys are exposed to various opportunities to learn new things. MCDC goes above and beyond to ensure the kids are learning and having fun. Whether it’s having the local fire department visit the center for an afternoon, hosting a Trunk ‘or Treat event & parade for the kids, or offering a “Mistletoe Mall” for the kids to buy gifts at around the holidays for loved ones, these are all little things my boys have enjoyed!
I am easily able to reach the teachers & administrators via the app, which makes communication great.
MCDC always prioritizes outdoor play & exercise which I really value, as my two boys have lots of energy; it’s important to me that they get outside.
I could go on and on; the holiday classroom parties, the parent / teacher conferences to check in on my child’s development, the outdoor water table play during the summer months, the holiday crafts, the exposure to church values, and focused learning opportunities (books, coding exercises, sensory centers, etc.) are all things that I appreciate about MCDC.

If you want your child to flourish educationally and socially while at the same time also being loved by their teachers, MCDC is the place for your child. All of the teachers and aids are so hands on, give individual care to all of their students and always are coming up with new, great ideas and fun activities to progress your little one. Couple that with the incredible outdoor area and focus on nature, you will see your child grow faster than you could ever imagine.

We have only been part of the MCDC family for a month now, but I truly cannot be more pleased! I wish we had landed here sooner!
We have two boys, ages 4 and 2, who are enrolled fulltime. My 4-year-old came to MCDC after a year at another pre-k program. However, we have seen him absolutely thrive since starting at MCDC. He is interested in reading, writing, and drawing for the first time ever. He is excited to share about going to "church school" (meeting with Pastor Bruce) as well as the STEAM activities they complete on a daily basis. Our 2-year-old has never been in childcare before, besides spending the full hour screaming in our church nursery. He had an absolute PERFECT transition to MCDC. The warmth and love of the staff made him immediately comfortable, and he absolutely loves school. His speech is exploding, and he loves showing me the art projects he's made!
All in all, this is a truly wonderful school. The staff are happy to be there, love the kids, and communicate regularly with parents. The "extras" - farm field trip, trunk-or-treat, parents night out - just speak to how special this program is.

“Our family has loved being part of Monkton Country Daycare. The staff develop lessons that incorporate STEAM, as well as active, outdoor fun! We appreciate that the staff truly know our kid, what he likes and doesn’t. They communicate with us so we know his educational progress, as well as relevant happenings throughout the day. All four of my children began at MCDC at age two, and for ten years it has been a cornerstone of our family. The care, love, and education they've received here have been extraordinary. I even keep asking if they'll expand to high school! MCDC is a truly special place, and every child deserves to be so lucky to attend a school like this one.
